Eureka 71B Hand-Held Vacuum Review (B0006HUYGM)

The Eureka 71B Hand-held vacuum is a 2-motor vacuum that is extremely power full for a hand-held cleaner. One motor powers the revolving brush and the second motor sucks the dirt out. It can easily clean car upholstery, your couch and carpeted stairs. It comes with a 20 foot long cord that can be wrapped around the unit for storage.

It is also equipped with a deluxe hose that can stretch to up to 3 times its length. This small vacuum can reach awkward places that big vacuum cleaners can’t with the use of its crevice tool at the end of the hose. It is a 5.5 amp vacuum that cleans deeply imbedded dirt from carpet, even from the dirty floor mats of your car.

The Risor Visor stays down when you clean horizontal places, and flips up when the revolving brush clans vertical carpet or stair risers. The Eureka 71B Hand-held vacuum has a bagless filter with a clear dust cup that is easy to clean. The unit weighs about 6 pounds and measures 15 x 7 x 7 inches.

Pros

Many users say that for only a little over $40, the Eureka 71B can do the job of a big upright vacuum cleaner, including suck up cat or dog hair from upholstery and carpet. Most hand-held vacuums can’t do that and only pick up a little dust and small particles.

Some owners of this unit found the Risor Visor a bit funny till they saw the benefit of using it for horizontal and vertical places like stairs and furniture. According to a number of users, this small vacuum has more power than other hand-held vacuums, maybe because it doesn’t run on batteries and gets its power from an electric socket on your wall.

The rotating brush and powerful suction action amazes most of the people who own the Eureka 71B Hand-held vacuum. The 2 motors may be responsible for its efficiency. The filter is also heavy duty and bagless, so many users appreciate the fact that they don’t have to buy and replace filters often. The unit is also very easy to clean or even dismantle if you have to take it apart.

Cons

Since it has 2 motors inside, it tends to be a bit on the heavy side. Women with small build have a hard time lugging it around for extended periods. Other users also prefer a vacuum that is this powerful but is cordless so they can use it without plugging it in or use it for the car when on the go. The blower behind the unit is also said to be too strong and blows away everything behind it.

There are also some complaints by a few users that the long 20 foot cord is difficult to wrap around the unit. Some don’t have the patience to neatly wrap the cord manually. Some say the groove where you are supposed to wrap the cord is too shallow and most of the cord will just have to be wrapped around the body of the vacuum cleaner.

The Eureka 71B Hand-held vacuum is one of the strongest if not the most powerful hand-held vacuum in the market. It is powerful enough to get cat fur out of your couch and carpet. It is ideal for a home with pets and young children who make a lot of mess. For the price, it is well worth it, other brands are more expensive but can only suck out half the amount of dirt.
