Panasonic Lumix TZ10 Camera Review (B0031MA0ZE)

One of Panasonic’s best selling compact digital cameras, and the winner of the EISA 2010/2011 Best Travel Compact Camera award, the Lumix TZ10 has plenty to dazzle you with, not least of which, beautiful photographs that you will treasure forever.

The TZ10 has many great features, including 12.1 Megapixel resolution, 12x Optical Zoom with ultra wide angle LEICA DC lens and a 3” LCD display screen with an anti-reflective coating. This screen also adjusts it’s brightness levels automatically depending on the surroundings. The latest technology comes into play too with 16x intelligent zoom, intelligent resolution technology and an optical image stabilizing system.

You can also take HD movies in AVCHD Lite, and organize and label your travel photos using the inbuilt GPS and geo-tagging systems. For the aspiring photographer, another attractive feature is the ability to have full manual control over your photos.

It is truly amazing that the TZ10 has such an outstanding ultra optical zoom and ultra wide angle lens, and still be as compact and light as you need it to be.

Another useful feature is the Multi Aspect Mode which allows you to take your picture in either 4:3, 3:2 or 16:9 aspect ratio. This gives you much more creative control, and you can choose the ratio that best suits it’s purpose – whether that be printing in conventional sizes or displaying your shots on a widescreen TV.

Pros

One owner who is used to using DSLRs was really delighted with the picture quality of this little camera, making it perfect for him to carry around with him. He also said that what he was particularly impressed with was the quality of the shots taken using the intelligent auto modes.

Many individuals commented on how good the HD videos were, and how sharp and clear the images and videos came out.

A number of people who enjoy macro photography were also impressed with how the TZ10 handled this feature of photo taking.

Cons

Some people found that the noise of the zoom lens carried over onto the recording when taking movies with this camera.

Others commented on the fact that using the GPS feature really drained the batteries.

A number of people felt that the only real downside was the quality of the photos taken in low-light settings.

Another comment made was that even with many advanced features for more technically proficient photographers, it is really missing an optical viewfinder.

Reaching new heights in compact digital camera technology, the Panasonic Lumix TZ10 is a top of the range, high spec photographers dream. Not only is it compact, lightweight and stylish, it allows you to have as much or as little control as you want over your finished photograph, and produces beautiful pictures to last a lifetime.
